On the 9th of may John B proved to be a man on a mission. A mission to drown the Champion Sound crowd into a blazing hot mixture of straight up drum&bass, robotic electro and uplifting electro house. The mission proved succesfull: Champion Sound with John B was one hell of a night out!

On the 15th of February Norwegian Future Prophecies literaly tore LVC Leiden apart with his mindblowing beats and incredibly energetic performance.
The loud beats hammered down on the Champion Sound crowd as the green lasers cut the air over their heads. Words can't describe the incredible vibe of this night, so we rather let the pictures and videos do the talking!

All the right ingredients were there again! Being nominated for best upcoming event in the Netherlands, Champion Sound had again to prove to bring that real Champion Sound vibe.
With Ram Records' titan Sub Focus on the line-up, the Oplichter for the lights and lasers, and Dapper MC, Netherlands best, on stage, the Champion Sound crew were again confident to live up all the expectations.
Even resident Lokal paid a quick visit, pausing his USA tour, not to miss out this one. He did warm-up the crowd, who were wickedly excited feeling that classic Champions Vibe. As Sub Focus stepped up, the ravers inside knew what was yet to come! Dapper MC really got everyone's attention, the drop was there, lasers were fired and hands raised in the air. Off for another two hours! Sub Focus really presented a journey into drum & bass! Great tunes, diverse, enthusiastic and above all amazing mixing skills. Not only a great producer, but also a very very gifted dj!
A-Flex was responsible for a proper ending of another great Champion Sound night, produding a great moment for all. Future Prophecies' Dreadlock followed up some energetic Dutch "Opgezwolle" hip-hop, that may give a clue what will come next!

After the sold out edition with Aphrodite, the ambitious Champion Sound crew has again something to celebrate. This time their effort has been rewarded with two nominations for the prestigious Dutch Drum & Bass Awards.
For the category Artwork Champion Sound designer Cyrax has been nominated for, among other things, his impressive series Champion Sound flyers. Cyrax is also well-known for his artwork for other great events like Spektrum XL and Drop!. For the category Upcoming Champion Sound has been nominated voor the enormous growth they have witnessed in their first year. Their energetic concept has resulted in a very unique rave!! On friday 14 December 2007, Champion Sound will prove to deserve the predicate Upcoming as Subfocus will visit LVC Leiden.
The Award ceremony will take place on 28 December 2007 in club Paard van Troje in the Hague. For more information about the Dutch Drum & Bass Award visit dnbawards.nl.

Lasers reflected in sunglasses, whistles, horns and lighter flares burn the air. They dance with no room to dance. The DJ drops the tune and it all goes off again.

Friday night 12 october 2007 can't be better described than with Belle-Fortune words, as Champion Sound again brought some classic rave to LVC Leiden. This time headliner Aphrodite was invited to play out a good party vibe. And all the ingredients for a great vibe were there: A proper warm-up by the Champion Sound residents, five lasers pointed at the audience awaiting to fire, amazingly great artwork by Copyoflucas and above all an audience ready to rave. They dance with almost no room to dance as the party sold out before midnight!
Syze finished his nice oldskool warm-up set, as the "Godfather of Jungle" stepped up. The decoration holding Aphrodites logo unfolds and the Oplichter started an amazing light and lasershow. After the intro then the horns announced Aphrodites first drop and the audience really went off! For more than two and a half hours Aphrodite created an amazing vibe roaming around the main stage. Hands in the air and party all over as some classic tunes like "Bad Ass", "Ready or Not" and "King of the Beats" were mixed in. Aphrodites showed some nice mixing skills and held the audience attention until the end of the night. Ravin that was!!!
There was hardly no time left for A-Flex to end the evening, but fortunately LVC's floormanager really couldn't break the vibe at four o'clock, givin A-flex time to spin his tunes. Half past four and A-flex was still spinning for a packed crowd, not wanting to leave!
